CES evaluation service

CES is the Comparative Education Service at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, another route for Canadian immigration ECA.

What is CES?

CES (Comparative Education Service) is part of the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. It is one of the IRCC-designated ECA organisations, issuing credential assessments for Canadian immigration, and some Canadian universities and bodies also accept CES evaluations.

CES or WES?

Both are commonly used for Canadian immigration, but document and verification requirements differ by credential and country, and processing time and fees change. The safest approach is to check whether the party asking (IRCC, a school, a regulator) specifies one, then verify the latest requirements for your credential type.

We check case by case before taking a job and give you a clear recommendation rather than defaulting to one provider.

What we do for you

  • Compare your credential’s requirements under CES and WES and recommend one
  • Prepare and translate documents; for Chinese degrees, coordinate CHSI/CSSD retrieval
  • Register accounts, submit the application, arrange document delivery and follow up
  • Communicate with the organisation if you have questions about the result

CES document and delivery requirements differ across countries and change over time. We deliberately do not list detailed rules here that may go stale; we confirm the latest official requirements with you when we take your case.

To understand the difference, read the WES vs CES vs Qualification Check guide.
